Milk Facts

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

The packaging for this milk carton is not only visually enticing, it is also functional. The diagrams and data visualisations give important and useful information. The four sides are utlised to add easy and quick nutritional facts, ingredients and amounts per serving etc. The simple tonal use of color is both functional adds a sense of retro sci-fi inspiration. If we saw this sort of carton in our New Zealand supermarkets, I bet we would gravitate towards them.

Precious Paper Bag

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

The basic brown paper bag takes on a new, more architectural form. With folds created like origami, these bags are given an identity of their own. Instead of being thrown out they will be kept and can recycled for other purposes after they are brought home making them a more sustainable choice than traditional paper bags.

Hairy Packaging

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Chip packets designed for The Hairy Bikers brand envoke the feeling of heritage and that the packet has been crumpled in the hand. This is a convincing way of getting across the personality of the brand. The colours and additions of natural foil from the bag make the packet clean and simple but also eye catching and sophisticated.

T(riangle) SHIRTS

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

This t-shirt company (Amon Clothing) has a simple, fresh looking design that uses sustainable processes. The sustainability is not only found in the materials used but also in the limited edition runs of the shirts. The products and branding undertake a trianglular motif which is used throughout from their letterhead and brochure, to even the folding of their T’s. Nice to see consistency taken so far through an identity.

Pantone Make up Concepts

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Colour, colour and more colour! Great to see creative ingenuity with these nail polish and eye make-up concepts. We’re starting to see quite a few range extensions featuring the Pantone colour range….and YES the girls in the office love this one.

HangerPak

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

This sustainable package uses the box in two functional ways. Firstly where the product is contained and transported, and secondly the packaging is used to hang the product. It means this cardboard gets an extra cycle as a hanger before heading to the recycling bin (even if it doesn’t last as long as the t-shirt).

Newborn Packaging

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Redfire designed this beautiful packaging for Newborn Necessities’ gorgeous baby clothes. So luxurious for that special little one. The key was to offer packaging that was not only functional but a gift wrap in itself. The layers of design carried through to the inside of the box and gave a surprise factor. We also took the packaging from seven different boxes down to two.

Pharmaceutical Packaging

Simple, modern packaging tins designed by Redfire for rubs and creams. The clean lines and pure text reflect the products’ natural, to the point approach.

Sock it 2 ya baby! smart packaging

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

We all want a pair or two of these purposely mismatched socks. No more embarrassment for not finding the right socks in the morning! This is a great example of using generic packaging to cater for multiple product variants with the die cut window featuring the colour options.

Limon

This is cool packaging we spotted for lemon flavoured pepper and salt – yum! Would make a great rub on fresh fish. It’s designed by a small Argentinean company, Estudio Clara Ezcurra.
